GAHI is Committed to Training
GAHI is committed to providing inspectors with access to ICC residential building code training. This includes initial certification training, as well as ongoing continuing education. We also provide training to help inspectors understand changes to the building code and how to apply those changes in the real world.
A Training and Education Provider for the ICC
The ICC accepts Continuing Education credits for training received at GAHI towards continuing education requirements for keeping certifications renewed. We are the only organization in Georgia with the designation. When you need code training, turn to GAHI.
Birch Academy
GAHI provides its training under the name Birch Academy, in honor of Tim Birch, one of the founding members of GAHI and a strong believer in training. Birch Academy operates its own website, accessible through the links on this website.
A Variety of Training Options
GAHI offers its member inspectors a number of ways to stay up-to-date, including optional scheduled classes, bi-monthly Saturday morning membership meetings, monthly study groups, and an annual training event.
Membership Meetings are Valuable for Training
The bi-monthly membership meeting includes presentations by local government officials, manufacturer presentations, a Building Code Corner session to discuss ideas, changes and updates, and the chance for inspectors to meet and exchange ideas and experiences.
